Wolf Walk 23rd August.
A Walk on the Wild Side!
Well bookings for this wolf walk started off rather slowly and I have to say at one point I thought I might have had to cancel the whole thing.
A friend of mine belongs to Hungerford Camera club and circulated the booking forms amongst the membership. I also contacted our local Oxford HOG Chapter and with the support of Nick Francis who booked 7 places managed to fill all the spaces. We were actually 2 over in the end!
Well its always great to see peoples reaction when they first get to meet a wolf. Many actually are surprised how close they are allowed to get and even more surprised when they are invited to meet and greet the wolves.
Mosi was on good form as usual and I have to say was the star of the show. She certainly took quite a shine to Keith as you can see for these pictures.

A Night at the Proms
Back in may this year we put a forum on the Thames valley website to see if anyone would be so kind in helping us escort our daughter (Amey) to her school prom.
Myself and Louise thought that we would not hear from anyone, as we were fairly new members, and not many people would know who we were.
But as time went on, and the word got about and the interest grew and grew. I think it was the mention of a free beer that helped. The forum was a great success and got 53 replies. Also when we went to club night a lot of members were talking about the prom night and offering their help.
Hello all
We have just heard that Panda, one of our road crew, had an accident while on the motorway - fortunately at slow speed and all the fault of the car driver, he got knocked out for a small while, suffered broken wrist, ribs and arm and is bruised, sore but OK.
We all wish him all the best for a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him up and about soon.
Tickets For Sofer are now sold out.
There will not be any gate sales at all of tickets. Any body turning up at the gate with out tickets will be turned around and refused entry.
It should be a great weekend
Cheers all

Hoggin The Hayfields
To those of you who helped make this such a fun weekend Thank you very much and to those who were unable to attend you missed a really great Rally.
We started off early Friday morning from Wamsad and rode to Chievely for a coffee and second pick-up before the beginning the journey for real.
Earlier in the month Fred and Richard did a trial run to scout for an interesting route and came up with a real gem. In a bid to avoid using the A4 and A303 they found some great roads and a good pub to stop at for lunch. At this point our assistant director (being keen to keep his trim physique) attempted to set the tone of the weekend by ordering a healthy Salad, we all followed that example of course and promptly ordered 9 plates of Ham, Egg and Chips and then proceeded to fight over them as they were brought out one by one ?
Traditionally we have supported WAMSAD during the Wheelchair push, an annual event where they raise money for their charity.
This year we, as a chapter, have decided to present a cheque towards the fundraising and they would very much appreciate a group of us to be at Wamsad for the presentation of that cheque by Don P., our Chapter Director and to have a photo shoot of the bikes and the chairs for their archives and for the local press covering the event.
The timings for the presentation at WAMDSAD has changed to 9.00 can you let everyone you know just in case they have planned to go and were planning to be there for 0930.
Cheers all
What a great day!
The rain clouds never got going so we did not need wets, and some 15 intrepid sould set off from WAMSAD, led by "Spud" David Murphy, himself a Para, with flad proudly flying behind his bike. Road crew were Richard A as point, Colin as tail and Don W as "shepherd" - not needed this time and later flying the chapter flag in the parades - see the photo gallery!
Picked up the "southerners" of the chapter at Bagshot and now 23 of us wended our way down to Butser Hill, near Petersfield, to meet with the New Forest Chapter for the rest of the ride to Southsea and to join in the fun and celebrations for the Parachute Regiment weekend.
Parades, parachute drops, pipe bands and the welocome from the officilas and the crowds there was really spectacular.
Spud - do let us have the poropsed dates for next year so we can get it in the diary and ensure we try to have no clashes with other events.
