About us
We are a friendly, family-oriented chapter, established in Maidenhead, England in the spring of 1998. Our active membership is currently around the 185 mark. We are often seen at events and rallies around the UK and in Europe. Most of all we are about having fun for all the family and using our motorcycles to bring us all closer together.
Due to the weather here in the UK the riding season is generally from spring until late autumn. But that does not stop us enjoying ourselves all year round - we organize events at regular times throughout the whole calendar year.
The Chapter meets regularly at a sports club for the disabled in Maidenhead with excellent facilities which we use regularly for many of our social events. The WAMDSAD Club runs an annual fund-raising event which we enthusiastically support and raise as much money as we can to help them and their charity.
In August 2003 we traditionally hosted our premier event - The Valley Rally. This was a small rally that was a lot of fun. Then in 2004 we participated with several other chapters to stage the 1st South of England Rally. This exciting new event in the H.O.G. U.K. calendar was a great success. It was presented by Thames Valley, Invicta, Oxford, 1066 and Surrey Chapters with active support from H.O.G. U.K. The South of England Rally is the 1st multi-chapter rally and has now completed it's 5th year. The S.O.F.E.R. Rally has becoming one of the UK's major annual H.O.G. events of the year. With visitors from many other European Chapters including; Belgium, France and Germany. This is one Rally you don't want to miss out on.
During the winter months, we organize a variety of social events. Many of our events throughout the year raise funds in support of various charities and deserving causes - as well as having fun, we believe in trying to help those who may be less fortunate than ourselves.
This is just a small taste of Thames Valley UK Chapter. As you can see, we are an active, family oriented and fun-loving group with a very enthusiastic membership.
