Hi guys,
We now have a new website! In order to view certain parts of the website and comment on entries and use our forums, you will have to create yourself an account.

Step 1 - Navigating to the new account creation part of the website:

On the front page of our website (thamesvalleyhog.org.uk) you will see a web link on the right hand side underneath "User Login" called "Create new account". When you hover your mouse cursor over it, it should change into a hand - this indicates a web link or path to another part of the website, or external website. Click this link.

Step 2 - Registering your account:

On the "Create new account" page, you have to full in certain details. Your chosen username which can be anything not already in use; your email address and your chosen password which you need to confirm. Type all these details in and hit the "Create new account" button which is located at the bottom of the page.

You should be redirected back to our front page with a message stating:
"Thank you for applying for an account. Your account is currently pending approval by the site administrator.
In the meantime, your password and further instructions have been sent to your e-mail address. "

Step 3 - Wait..

In hopefully a short period of time, your account should be authorised by me, the webmaster. The reason for this is that only valid Thames Valley HOG members are allowed to use parts of the site - as it’s you the members, that help keep the website up and running - and you should get what you pay for!

If your user details are pretty obvious from your username or email address, and you are on the list, your account authorisation should be fairly short. If not, I will email you asking for more information, and perhaps doing some more verification with our membership officer.

If it has been sometime, and you have not heard anything back from me and you still cannot login (don't forget to try) - please chase me by sending me an email or cornering me on club night.

Step 4 - Log-in and enjoy

Once your account has been authorised - go to the front page of the site again, and under the "User Login" section on the right-hand side of the website put in your chosen username and password and click the "Log in" button just underneath this.

You will then be able to access all the sections under the "TVHOG Members-only" menu, and post entries and comments on the forum.

A website is only as good as the people who use it - both in numbers and in quality.

As always, any suggestions are more than welcome. I will try to accommodate them all as much as possible.
